Star Trek DS9 - Baseball Cap - SOLD

This is a come back to my first love and the DS9 episode "Take me out to the Holosuite".

Somehow it might sound strange that I love such an episode as I have no clue how baseball plays but the story around friendship and what's important in life is always cheering me up.

Baseball cap and patch created as backups for the ones used in
the Star Trek: Deep Space Nine episode "Take Me Out to the
Holosuite." Caps and patches like these were worn by the team from
Deep Space Nine called the "Niners" as they played the all Vulcan

As I don't have that many table top space to display props, I decide to showcase this one in a frame. The props is of course not permanently attached to it.

Star Trek: TNG - De-Assimilation relay - SOLD

Not one of my wisest acquisition over the years but was one of those moments of weakness where you feel like in need to buy something after a dry season.

Still having some lights up and part of a great episode "The Best of Both Worlds".

The display tries to recreate the scene where Data is linked to this device with some cables going to his positronic relay. I'm still thinking how I could best reproduce this which explains the black piece on top of the pole with the item description. One day when I got the time, I'll get to it.

Star Trek DS9 - Quark Dabo Chip - SOLD

As mentioned before, I'm quite fond of the Ferengis in DS9 and a central part of Quark's bar is the Dabo table. If I can't imagine getting a Dabo table to display like some lucky fellow I know, one of the next easy item to display is a Dabo chip... well wouldn't mind a Dabo girl outfit one day either.

The nice part of a Dabo chip is that it's imprinted with Quark's face which makes those easily recognizable as a DS9 prop. There are a few different colors to own but one red is plenty enough... for the moment.

Again keeping the same desing than the Romulan items and the Bajoran earring but blending Gold and Silver colors which of course should please any Ferengi.

Star Trek DS9 - Bajoran Earring - SOLD

Of course DS9 is also all about Bajor. This is also something peculiar to a Star Trek serie, the fact that a lot of the action is around the same place or should I say planet.

Therfore as one of the typical item Bajorans wear is an earring, I needed to have one on display and thanks to Jim Williams (aka Thot Pran) on the Star Trek forums I manage to get my first one. Since then Jim has been one of me repeating prop provider and he has as beautiful collection I really urge anyone interested to see on his Niners Paradise blog.

At the time I remember trying to negotiate him out of the Leeta and Rom earrings but he had second thoughts which is normal as it's a great pair to have in a DS9 collection. Since then he made my day on other items that I will describe in a coming post.

I tried to keep some uniformity in the display with the Romulan Bandolier pin and Insignia.

Star Trek DS9 - Tribbles - SOLD

It is one of the reason I love DS9, there are some episodes that blends with other part of the Star Trek universe like in this case the TOS episode "The troubles with Tribbles".

And this time when I say blend, it really is as the DS9 episode "Trials and Tribble-ations" puts together 2 great series, so getting some Tribbles on display was a no brainer.

At least one prop I won't try to screen match any time soon.

"Trials and Tribble-ations" is a fifth season episode of the television series Star Trek: Deep Space Nine. It has an average fan rating of 4.7/5 on the official Star Trek website and was written as a tribute to the original series of Star Trek, in the 30th anniversary year of the show; sister series Voyager produced a similar episode, "Flashback." It is widely held to be one of the best episodes of the series, ranking as the best DS9 episode on TV.com.

It was nominated for the Hugo Award for Best Dramatic Presentation, as "The Trouble With Tribbles" had been in 1968. ("The Trouble With Tribbles" lost out to "The City on the Edge of Forever" that year.)
